Ways to Give

Make an impact on the creative and cultural landscape of our community.

There are a number of ways you can be involved and directly support our mission. You can contribute to our continued success through naming opportunities, sponsorships, planned gifts and endowments, as well as in-kind donations of goods and services.

To learn more about giving opportunities, contact Leah O’Gwynn, director of development, at 334.844.1287 or leah.ogwynn@auburn.edu.

NAMING OPPORTUNITIES

A naming gift made to the Gogue Performing Arts Center provides a highly visible and lasting tribute to an individual or individuals whose extraordinary contributions deserve recognition and commemoration. Placing your name, the name of a loved one, or the name of your organization on a location at the Gogue Center visibly demonstrates your passion for the arts and for our mission. A variety of locations are currently available for naming.

SPONSORSHIPS

Annual season sponsors play a vital role in helping the Gogue Performing Arts Center present world-class arts experiences to the community. Sponsorships are available at multiple levels and can be purchased by individuals and businesses. Benefits include priority access to subscriptions, seat selection and tickets; invitations to backstage tours and engagements with performers and special guests; valet parking; and many more.

With certain levels of sponsorship recognition as a Patron Sponsor is available. Become a sponsor at the Celebrity level or above, and you can elect to have your name or your business’s name affiliated with a specific performance, educational events (including school shows, master classes and artist talks), or an artist’s entire engagement. Customized recognition is also available at certain levels.

GIFTS-IN-KIND

Gifts-in-kind involve both tangible and intangible goods, including single or collective works of art, books, or other collectibles; vehicles; materials, supplies and equipment; and advertising. In-kind services may also be donated. Gifts-in-kind may be retained or sold (with the proceeds of the sale distributed to the purpose as designated by the donor) or retained to be used in a manner benefiting our mission.

ENDOWMENTS

Endowed gifts create a legacy of philanthropic support as they are held and invested to produce income to be used for a donor-designated purpose. The original principal remains intact and unspent in perpetuity, with the earnings on the invested principal distributed to the university purpose specified by the donor. This funding provides the opportunity for an endowment to bear your name or to honor or memorialize someone of your choosing.

PLANNED GIFTS

Planned gifts, also known as bequests or estate gifts, are another way to support the Gogue Performing Arts Center’s future through a gift today while at the same time meeting your own philanthropic and financial goals. Giving in this manner offers the donor a number of financial and/or tax benefits, and can include real property, stocks, retirement plan assets, charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities, and partnership interests.

With your investment, you’ll receive invitations to exclusive events and early notifications about season performances, subscriptions and tickets.

Charitable, tax-deductible gifts in support of the Gogue Performing Arts Center and other programs at Auburn are made through the Auburn University Foundation, which receives such gifts on the university’s behalf.
